On Thursday, 10/13/11, we visited Universal Orlando Resort, which has two parks, Islands of Adventure, and Universal Studios..... |
|

|
Today we went to the Islands of Adventure....the adventure begins! ;-) |
|
|
|
|

|
Our main reason for visiting Universal was to see the 'Wizarding World of Harry Potter' at the Islands of Adventure....click here for my 'Harry Potter' page! :-) |

|
In between our visits to the Wizarding World, we also explored the rest of Islands of Adventure, including 'Suess Land'....I got wet on this ride!!! But it was fun ;-) |

We also took a ride on the Caro-Suess-el....the animals were kooky, I think mine was some kind of bird! |

|

Next to Marvel Comics land was a play area called 'Me Ship, the Olive', it looked like a big tug boat :-) |

And from the top of the 'ship' you could squirt unsuspecting riders from the raft ride next door, it was so much fun!! |

AAAAAHHH!! It's a T-Rex!! Ok not really, but it was nice and cool in the Jurassic Park Discovery Center....we even got to see a baby Velociraptor being "born", so cute!! |

One of our first rides of the day was 'Twister', and after it was over I got a new pin for my lanyard in the gift shop - the Wicked Witch of the West! I love her ;-) |

They also had stuffed cows for sale (because a cow goes flying by in the ride), and I named mine 'Dorothy' (get it? hee hee) |

My favorite ride at this park was 'The Simpsons' ride :-) |

And I got a 'Maggie' pin for my lanyard at the Kwik-E-Mart! (Seriously, that's what the gift shop was called, hee hee hee) ;-) |

I blew off some steam at the 'Curious George' play area while my parents rested - rest, who needs rest?? Let's go!! ;-) |

|
It took my Mom a while to convince me to ride 'Jaws', but I finally gave in, and I really loved it! We rode it twice too, and I'm so glad we did, because they closed it permanently on January 2nd, 2012!! So sad, we'll miss you 'Jaws' :-) |

Overall 'Universal' was a blast - both parks!! I sure hope we come back here someday!! :-) |
