Welcome to my
page!
On Monday 10/10/11, our first 'park' day in Orlando, we visited the Animal Kingdom at Disney World. I'd never been here before so I was really excited to see it! :-)
We made one quick stop outside of the main gates to pose with the 'Lion King' topiary, kind of cool ;-)
Then we headed back to the Tusker House for our reservation at the "Donald's Safari Breakfast" character breakfast. First up was Mickey Mouse!!
And he gave me my first autograph in my brand new autograph book, woohoo!
I'm pretty sure it says 'Mickey Mouse', hee hee!!
Next up was Goofy....he was really tall!!! :-)
But he was still able to reach my autograph book, way down here, tee hee....
Our next visit was from one of my favorite characters - Daisy Duck!! And right away she noticed my Daisy Duck pen (thanks Aunt Jamie!!) :-)
We were so lucky that she was here, it could have been Minnie Mouse instead (who I also like, but Daisy is my favorite) :-)
Her signature is so pretty, just like she is, hee hee...
Time for a little break, gotta eat my Mickey waffle!!
The last character we saw was a surprise - Donald Duck!! Normally he's only outside doing pictures but no autographs, but since it was raining a little bit, they had him come inside (I wondered why our pics outside didn't include him!)
And since he was inside, he had time to do autographs, yippee!!
We're not sure why he put "#1", but it was funny!
After breakfast it was Kilamanjaro Safari time :-)
And we got to see some giraffes!! We were so excited about that, because we don't have any giraffes at our local zoo....
They were so cute :-)
After the safari, we stopped to get me a 'temporary tattoo'
Of course I picked Jack Sparrow!! (I love all things 'Pirates of the Caribbean' right now)
And it matches my new pirate necklace too :-)
No trip to Disney would be complete without getting a Mickey Mouse ice cream sandwich!
We had to wear special glasses for the "Bug's Life" show, so how do I look? Cute as a bug, right? HEE HEE ;-)
That mountain is actually where the Expedition Everest roller coaster is....the coaster was fun, but I was afraid of the "yeti" (even though it was only a projection)
I had a blast though in the dinosaur play area, one side was slides, the other had a sand pit where you could dig up dinosaur bones!
I was having fun until someone told me they weren't REAL dinosaur bones, aw man ;-)
Other than the yeti, and the 'spiders' in the Bugs Life show, I had a great time at the Animal Kingdom!! :-)
